Co-Curricula
Our cultural and sporting successes are the result of a dynamic mix of talented
and enthusiastic students and dedicated staff, who value and are committed to
the wider life of the school.
Our students are involved in the wider community through:
Service committee - which raises funds for organisations such as Auckland
City Mission, Canteen and the Heart Foundation;
Trees for Survival - where students plant seedlings they have raised as
part of a conservation programme.
Duke of Edinburgh Scheme
The Duke of Edinburgh Scheme is
aimed at providing for young people an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding
programme. At Auckland Girls we offer students the opportunity to gain their
bronze, silver and gold awards.
Our students have the opportunity to join a
cultural group. Each year our cultural groups perform at the ASB Maori and Pacific
Island Cultural Festival with excellent results.
In addition we offer students
the chance to join our school choir and/or one of our bands.
Debating
Students also have the opportunity to join one
of our Debating Groups.
A wide range of other co-curricula activities is offered
and students are encouraged to become involved in one or more of these.
