The results of the Scholarship Examinations, which are the most challenging exams of the NZ examination system have just been announced.
We are delighted that two of our students are the two top scholars in their respective subjects in the entire country:
Tara Parsons—Outstanding Scholarship and top scholar in NZ for Art History and
Foa Samuelu—Outstanding Scholarship and top scholar in NZ for Samoan
Both of these girls will be invited to attend a ceremony at Government House to receive their awards which will include a cash prize.
Congratulations too to our other Scholarship winners:
Ally Orr—3 scholarships in Biology, Art History and Media Studies
Vivian Chhan—2 scholarships in Biology
and Physics
Louise Matthews—2 scholarships in Painting and an Outstanding Scholarship in Art History
Victoria Murphy—2 scholarships in English and Biology
Tamkeen Saeid—1 scholarship in Classical Studies and
Sophie Yu—1 scholarship in Biology
At Senior Prizegiving last year AGGS senior students received approximately $280,000 in scholarships and grants to assist them with their tertiary studies in 2017.
