The Sports Committee is headed by 2 or 3 Sports Prefects each year. These students are selected based on their experience in a variety of sports and their leadership potential. Between 8 and 10 other members are then selected to form the remainder of the Sports Committee. Members of the committee are selected by the Sports Prefects and must be approved by the Sports Department before the committee is finalised. The students are informed of their selection at the beginning of Term 1 and are relied on to assist with the largest of the school events through out the year.
The Sports Committee are responsible for helping to plan, organise and execute with the Sports Department the following activities each year:
- School Swimming Sports with 150+ students
- School Athletics Sports with 700+ students and staff
- School Cross Country with 600+ students and staff
- Sports and Cultural Photos with 400+ students
- Sports Prizegiving with 600+ students and parents
- Lip-synch with 1000+ students and families
- Lunchtime Sports Competitions with 200+ students
In our opinion, the hardest working Committee by far.
Thank you for your non stop help girls. - Miss Reid and Mr Peters
