Auckland Girls' Grammar School is committed to providing an education for young women which encourages achievement and self esteem, fosters a co-operative spirit and celebrates diversity so that students develop the knowledge, skills and values necessary to face the challenges of the future and to participate in a bi-cultural and ethnically diverse society.

Our Motto

Per Angusta Ad Augusta - Through Trials to Triumph

This motto is used by all the Grammar schools in the Auckland Region, Auckland Grammar School, Mt Albert Grammar School and Takapuna Grammar School. It was first adopted by Auckland Grammar School as its motto in 1879.
