Senior School Courses:

Course Structure matrix. Full details of each course are published annually in the Senior Course Booklet Our timetable is blocked to ensure that multi-level study options are available to meet individual student ability needs.
Year 11 requirements
All Year 11 courses provide credits towards Level 1 NCEA (the National Certificate of Educational Achievement). Full details of this qualification is available on the NZQA website.
Year 11 students study seven subjects in each semester (half year)
Compulsory subjects:
- English – full year (one of three bands available)
- Mathematics – full year (one of three bands available)
- Science – full year (one of four courses available)
- Health & Physical Education – full year (one of two courses available)
Optional subjects available:
Most students take the equivalent of 3 full year courses from these optional learning areas: ARTS, LANGUAGES, SOCIAL SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY
Some subjects are available as semester (half year) options.
