Kahurangi Enrolment

Ngā Tumanako o Kahurangi

Kahurangi students smallE ngā mana, e ngā reo, e ngā hau e whā Tēnā koutou katoa. I te tuatahi, me mihi atu ki tō tātou kaihanga. Ko ia te timatanga, ko ia te mutunga. Nāna nei ngā mea katoa. E tangi ana ki  a rātou mā, kua wehe atu ki te po. Haere, haere, haere atu ra. Rātou ki a rātou, tātou ki a tātou. Ko tātou te hunga ora. Nō reira, tēnā ano tātou katoa.

He pukapuka paku tēnei hei whakamarama atu i "Ngā Tūmanako o Kahurangi." I whakatūngia tēnei rōpu. Māori e ngā rōpu kaiako wahine toa hei whakamana i te reo me ona tikanga hei whakapakari, hei whakaatu hoki i te mana taitamawahine, i te mana Māori.

If you are interested in becoming part of our Kahurangi whanau, please indicate this on your daughter's enrolment form.

A recent video of one of our Kahurangi parents talking about her daughter's experience in Kahurangi is in our video library.

As this is a special programme, the normal ballot process for out of zone applications does not apply, however the number of places are limited, and all students and their whanau will be invited to an interview.

All Kahurangi Students will be expected to:

  • Be committed to the practice of Te Reo Maori me ona Tikanga. All students will take either Maori or Te Reo Rangitira as their language option and follow and uphold the tikanga of Nga Tumanako o Kahurangi.
  • Have excellent attendance and work habits. All prospective students must show evidence at their interview.
  • Make a commitment to being a part of one of the school Kapa Haka Roopu, and participate in Manu Korero competition. This will ensure that all the Kahurangi students are able to participate in powhiri and waiata.

If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to call the school office (09) 307 4180 or email
