Auckland Girls' Grammar School is proud to have a newly named Rugby Black Fern on our staff. Karina Penetito, P.E. teacher was named this week to represent New Zealand in Women's Rugby. Congratulations goes out to her from staff and students. We are so fortunate to have an international representative and all-round successful role model for our students here at the school.
Karina is scheduled to travel to London on the 21st November to play in three tests against England. The Black Ferns will be playing three international test matches each year for the next three years as a build up to the next Rugby World Cup.
Well done Karina!
On 13th June, 62 Year 13 students went to Rotorua for 2 days on a Geography trip. We started at the Rotorua Museum, where we learnt new things, took a billion photosm, and had heart attacks when we watched the re-enactment of the eruption of Mt Tarawera.
