Sisterhood / Our Community

At Auckland Girls’ Grammar School, we pride ourselves on having a strong, vibrant community that extends beyond our current students and staff. Our community includes a network of alumni, parents, and supporters who share a deep commitment to the values and success of our school. Central to this community are the AGGS Foundation and the Old Girls’ Association, which play a crucial role in fostering connections and supporting the school’s mission.

The AGGS Foundation is dedicated to bringing together the school community, past and present, to enhance the educational opportunities for our students, ensuring that the legacy of excellence at Auckland Girls’ Grammar School continues. The Foundation hosts regular reunions for alumni and has started planning for the school’s 140th anniversary celebrations, which will be held in 2028.   Raising funds through donations and bequests is an important part of the Foundation’s work and helps to ensure that every student has the chance to reach her full potential.

The Old Girls’ Association is instrumental in preserving the school’s rich history and traditions.  The Association also supports the school by providing scholarships to current students at Founding Day and at our annual Senior Prizegiving. All funds raised by the Old Girls’ Association from their events and fundraising activities are used to provide scholarships to our students.

At the heart of our community is the value of sisterhood. This enduring bond unites past and present students, creating a supportive and empowering environment where every girl can thrive. Our sisterhood is a testament to the lifelong connections and shared experiences that define the AGGS journey.
