International Student Enrolment Application

International students are warmly welcomed into the Auckland Girls’ Grammar school Community. They are valued for the cultural enrichment and diversity they bring to our school.  

All international students must live with a parent, in homestay or with a school approved designated caregiver. We do not have a boarding establishment.

We welcome international applicants to enter into any year group, subject to availability.

Steps to Apply:

Step 1: Submit an Online Application:

 

Required Documents Include:

  • your current passport (if available)
  • your photo (portrait photo, passport photo or similar)
  • your last school report (translated into English)
  • vaccination certificate (if available and must be in English)
  • insurance certificate (if available and must be in English)

Step 2. The interview

Students may be invited to attend an enrolment interview with the Director of International Students and with other key senior staff members at Auckland Girls’ The interview may occur via Teams or Zoom. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the interview. It is the responsibility of the family to organise an interpreter if required.

Step 3. Offer

Following the selection process, you may receive a Letter of Offer with an acceptance form. Please fill in and return the form within 14 days. Offers must be accepted and associated fees paid within the timeframe outlined in the offer letter.

Step 4: Confirmation of Enrolment

Upon receiving the payment of the fees, a Confirmation of Enrolment letter will be provided. The student’s enrolment at Auckland Girls’ is dependent on obtaining a Student Visa from the Immigration New Zealand.

Visa and Immigration

Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available through the New Zealand Immigration Service and can be viewed here.

Insurance

International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand.  Insurance conditions need to comply with NZ Immigration requirements and requirements provided in The Code. Insurance can be arranged through Auckland Girls’ Grammar School and  should be organised before the student leaves her home country.

Healthcare

Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services with New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full cost of treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health and can be viewed here. The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs.
