When Ngaire Ashmore started as Principal at Auckland Girls’ Grammar School it was under Limited Statutory Management. Things were grim. Now NCEA success is in the mid-90 percentiles and UE close-to 90 percent. Ashmore strives so that each and every student can thrive – she and her Senior Leadership Team building bespoke programmes for each individual pupil. As Ashmore says in our June Video Profile, you won’t find ‘Rinse/Repeat’ in the vocab of any staff member at Auckland Girls’.
